Susanne Reutiman was born and
raised in Northern Germany. She has enjoyed learning and utilizing
foreign language skills throughout her life. She had nine years of
English and seven years of French in school. She was able to sharpen
her French during multiple school exchange programs in France as well as
a semester of study at the university in Lyon, France. Her English
developed greatly while working for six months as an intern at a bank in
Atlanta, Georgia. She also had the opportunity to immerse herself in the
Italian language and culture during a summer of work as an au pair in
Italy.
Susanne worked for ten years at a
German Bank as a financial consultant in the area of Private Banking.
After living with her family in Germany, she moved with her American
husband and their two children to the U.S. in 2004.
Susanne has always been convinced of
the wonderful benefits to children when they learn a second or third
language. She is raising her own children bilingually with the help of
storytelling, singing and listening to German CDs. The success of her
children motivated her to start a German playgroup in Great Falls. She
is also teaching children at an Elementary School. After discovering the
Music Lingua Program and its concept, she knew this was exactly what she
had been aiming for. As a Music Lingua teacher, Susanne can now fulfill
her desire to teach young children German and French, using a method that is both
very effective and a lot of fun!
